Our Creative Contemporary programme is designed for children aged 5-8 years to provide a nurturing environment that fosters creativity, connection and confidence.

Building dance skills and technique in a fun and dynamic way, children learn movement phrases and work with others to explore choreographic tasks in response to dance, music and visual art forms. 

In order to stimulate confident and imaginative movement, our programme encourages participants to express themselves and their ideas freely through dance. Seeing participants as young artists, we encourage them to collaborate with others on creative tasks and to share their work in class which is followed by practicing to reflect on what we’ve seen, thought and learnt. 

At the end of each term, children have the opportunity to perform in front of family and friends, and our annual summer show at Tramshed theatre will offer the opportunity to dance in front of an even bigger audience!
