Our children’s ballet classes carry a holistic, creative and playful approach to teaching. Striving for a fun and child oriented environment in which each child can follow its natural desire to move whilst learning ballet technique in a safe and age appropriate way, Svenja includes elements of the Royal Academy of Dance's syllabus, appreciating their developmental orientation.
Her classes promote a child-friendly, safe dance practice in which children are encouraged to learn their first technical skills alongside developing creativity, imagination, and confidence through the joy of dancing.
Svenja has taught and facilitated creative dance and children's ballet for over 15 years and loves supporting young dancers in finding their artistic voice through movement and dance.

WDS BALLET SHOE SHOP
Does my child need a pair of ballet shoes?
Wearing a ballet uniform is not mandatory in any of our children’s ballet classes and children are most welcome to dance barefoot or in socks.
The majority of our young dancers do enjoy dressing up and wearing a pair lovely ballet shoes though which is why we set up our very own ballet shoes shop with a selection of sparkling, shiny shoes that are not just fun but support young, growing feet in connecting to the ground and developing strong feet at the same time.
